I Confess, I'm A Mess

Yes, I often leave the house late, without my hair done, without make-up, or a rational thought in my head. I run outside without shoes on, and spend too long sitting in the sun, and forget about cooking supper until 7 or 8 o'clock sometimes, and forget to wear sunscreen on the hottest days.
But life is crazy, and it all happens so fast.
Being home from University in a place I've never been and people I don't know for the most part only adds to the chaos.
But with the inspiration and motivation from an excellent relief society lesson given today, I feel refreshed in my drive and goals to get my life in order!
To help with me getting my life in order I've decided to layout some guidelines:
  • No more sleeping in like you've never slept in your life- Early to bed, early to rise= 10 pm and 7 am
  • Cardio on top of yoga and arms/abs workout each day
  • Get a job
  • Stop throwing my clothes on the floor, they don't need that kind of abuse in their life anymore
  • More regular scripture study with study tools such as ensign, teachings of prophets, preach my gospel etc.
  • ....
...Okay that's all I got so far, but I'm going to start using my planner again, and limit the slothfulness!
In relief society we were learning from Spencer W. Kimball about truth, learning truth and the value of truth.  It was actually really good, and I believe lesson #10. This is one of the scriptures we discussed- John 8:32
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

It just really got me thinking about how much truth I still have to learn in this life- spiritually and through secular learning.   I have so much to learn, and so little time! I really have to quit wasting this precious time if I want to become all that I have the potential to become! I  know I can if I set my mind to it! I want to become more fit, a better cook, increase my vocabulary, learn SO MUCH more in my understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and become better in my studies at school too!
I also, am pretty sure that if I focus on increasing my spiritual understanding and focus on centering my life around Christ, all aspects of my life will improve!

So here is my rant, I am inspired, and setting goals! Yes, I may be an unorganized mess, with confusing and discouraging days but at least I know there is room and hope for improvement! One step closer to making progress!

P.S. My puppy is way cute.
