Director: Blake Edwards
1961
Audrey Hepburn stars in this wonderful movie from 1961. I just watched it. Stayed up late on a school night to enjoy this heart warming classic. Oh my goodness, I never expected to love and enjoy it as much as I did.
Here's one of my favorite parts, Holly Golightly is singing on her windowsill. To the huckleberry friend.
"Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name" ~Holly Golightly
Holly Golightly: I'll tell you one thing, Fred, darling... I'd marry you
for your money in a minute. Would you marry me for my money?
Paul Varjak: In a minute.
Holly Golightly: I guess it's pretty lucky neither of us is rich, huh?
Paul Varjak: Yeah.
Paul Varjak: In a minute.
Holly Golightly: I guess it's pretty lucky neither of us is rich, huh?
Paul Varjak: Yeah.
The fact that they always went through the windows and fire exits <3 |
Paul Varjak:
I love you.
Holly Golightly: So what. Paul Varjak: So what? So plenty! I love you, you belong to me! Holly Golightly: [tearfully] No. People don't belong to people. Paul Varjak: Of course they do! Holly Golightly: I'll never let ANYBODY put me in a cage. Paul Varjak: I don't want to put you in a cage, I want to love you! |
