Day two on the photography challenge list is
what I wore, so here is what I wore today, not exciting but nevertheless I wore it.
The purple was actually quite wonderful I decided, and this seemed nice
enough for a chilly and rainy summer day.

My keys <3 |
I adore playing the piano. I love going to my seat and playing song after song to my heart's content or when in need of making my heart content. Although I am giving up the tenor saxophone and oboe this year, I am certainly not giving up the piano. The keys that my fingers so naturally fly across. Tickling the ivory to the right dynamics and writing the stories between the lines of notes and rhythms.
"Life is like a piano, the white keys
represent happiness and the black show sadness.
But as you go through life's journey,
remember that the black keys also create music."
Oh those days where you just can't seem to have a real smile on under that fake one you slapped on your face that morning before heading out in completing the day's tasks. Those days when you feel like alone time would be beneficial right now and you just can't help but ask yourself "why doesn't everyone already know that so I can be alone right now? Those days are the days we need to keep our chin up and remember that those may be the black keys among the white, but they still make music. With every slow beautiful song comes the falling action and the climax. In the particular piece I have been playing - Romance impromptu- there are some minor chords thrown in to accentuate the dropped dynamics, mood and flow of the particular phrase of the piece. Its so much easier to make the drama of the piece come out when the dynamics roll. In order to make the loud seem loud you've got to make the quiets really quiet. I guess what I mean is that although these black key days seem so often around this time of year with exams and stress, without those extra quiet or dramatic swings in key and volume the best moments filled with happiness wouldn't and couldn't be the same.
I hope you're picking up what I'm putting down and I'm not JUST rambling COMPLETELY mindlessly and pointlessly. Anyways, I'm sure tomorrow will be better, and if not my phrasing is not yet complete but I already know another measure will lie beyond that. And maybe I just need to exercise patience in finding the right dynamic to pull my mood around.
