Photography Challenge Continued...

Day 5: Someone I love....

My bestie Cloe <3
I adore my friend here, we've been through a bunch, but we always have a wonderful time together and share and have shared many MANY laughs and giggles together.

Day 6: Childhood Memory or should I say Memories

I remember hanging upside down on that playground all the time. I was playing on the park, and decided to run over and show my mom what I could do and how I could be a monkey. I guess she captured the moment. Also notice the wonderful Mini Mouse hat I am styling- my favorite hat that I picked out in Disneyland.

Now this was a super long time ago, and it was awesome and everything, but what I really remember about it was being upset the whole time that my sister got the white horse and I got the brown one and in every princess movie the princess rides off with the prince on the fast white horse.... I think it also had to do with the fact that she also got the blond hair between the two of us-which I admit I envied for a LONG time when I was young.
Also, just some more recent pictures :)

Sister Garner and Sister Marchant!
I love these sister missionaries! They are so wonderful and uplifting and hilarious and smiling. They always seem to have fantastic stories to tell, and they have such beautiful and strong testimonies.  They are so awesome, and they are real examples to me.  They are sweet and beautiful and seriously, hilarious.  I am so glad that I got that lucky opportunity of being in their area and getting to know them :)

Photography Challenge Day 3 & 4

Best Birthday Gift Ever

So here is my crazy story about the other day, when I received one of the best gifts of MY LIFE.
I stopped by my friend's house for a visit and she surprised me with a random gift!
My surprise!

So at first I was so completely and utterly confused as you can see through the next photos in order of sequence as seen.

Chips!
Socks
Peanut Butter Toast
Yarn
ribbon
Felt Mustache

Hippo Piggy Bank

And then BAM! It all clued in....

I remember seeing that commercial on tv when I was younger and it is so ironic that the commercial about not believing everything you see on tv, is the one I thought was real for so long.  So anyways I obviously know that there isn't such thing as a North American house hippo, but I still think they are so cute! So I told my friend that I wanted one for my birthday 6 months ago. And she got me one! She painted it herself and it was a pretty sick birthday gift if I do say so myself.  All the other components suddenly fit together!

haha, anyways that was really exciting, and so here's my blurb on that! :)

Photography Challenge Day 2

Day two on the photography challenge list is what I wore, so here is what I wore today, not exciting but nevertheless I wore it.

The purple was actually quite wonderful I decided, and this seemed nice
enough for a chilly and rainy summer day.

My keys <3
I adore playing the piano.  I love going to my seat and playing song after song to my heart's content or when in need of making my heart content.  Although I am giving up the tenor saxophone and oboe this year, I am certainly not giving up the piano. The keys that my fingers so naturally fly across.  Tickling the ivory to the right dynamics and writing the stories between the lines of notes and rhythms.

"Life is like a piano, the white keys
represent happiness and the black show sadness.
But as you go through life's journey,
remember that the black keys also create music."

Oh those days where you just can't seem to have a real smile on under that fake one you slapped on your face that morning before heading out in completing the day's tasks.  Those days when you feel like alone time would be beneficial right now and you just can't help but ask yourself "why doesn't everyone already know that so I can be alone right now? Those days are the days we need to keep our chin up and remember that those may be the black keys among the white, but they still make music.  With every slow beautiful song comes the falling action and the climax.  In the particular piece I have been playing - Romance impromptu- there are some minor chords thrown in to accentuate the dropped dynamics, mood and flow of the particular phrase of the piece. Its so much easier to make the drama of the piece come out when the dynamics roll. In order to make the loud seem loud you've got to make the quiets really quiet.  I guess what I mean is that although these black key days seem so often around this time of year with exams and stress, without those extra quiet or dramatic swings in key and volume the best moments filled with happiness wouldn't and  couldn't be the same.
I hope you're picking up what I'm putting down and I'm not JUST rambling COMPLETELY mindlessly and pointlessly.  Anyways, I'm sure tomorrow will be better, and if not my phrasing is not yet complete but I already know another measure will lie beyond that. And maybe I just need to exercise patience in finding the right dynamic to pull my mood around.

Something New

I feel like although I have a camera I often neglect it. It's not a very fancy or expensive camera, but at least I have it.  I have never done one of these before but I was thinking what the heck? why not right? So here's the beginning of this 30 day Photo Challenge. Wish me luck! :)

Good Morning!

To start off my first day of no school - I'm still so SO excited about it finally being summer- I got up at 7 AM and went for a run/jog/speed walk with my friend. After the weeks of being sick and not running. That was wonderful and well needed.  So much for that summer body... hah! Anyways, after working hard. I got to come in and eat a wonderful bowel of oatmeal topped with nectarine- my summer addiction has started again, I can't help gobbling down a few nectarines a day- and all washed down with a chocolate egg nog. I can tell this will be a pretty good day although the sky doesn't seem to want to share that same happiness.

Yum. Yum. Yum

Indescribable.

Indescribable is the only way one can really describe this picture. What an oxymoron that sentence just was. I saw this picture on pinterest and just started laughing so hard it was ridiculous.

Blog Blog Blog Blog Blog

I am so terrible at blogging on a regular basis. But I am really good at spending hours reading other people's blogs. I love reading the blogs of people who know HOW to blog, something I am still learning.  The fashion blogs and the fitness blogs and mann there are just so many that I enjoy. So here's a list of my recent favorites!

http://violetsage.wordpress.com/ - look up her lazy girl fitness. It's wonderful.
