Its that time of year again. (September 3, 2012)

Eek!  I can't believe summer has just sped by so fast. Well it always does I guess, and for some reason it is always a surprise.  So much has happened!  I am already studying and preparing for my ACT test.  Oh my goodness am I ever nervous about that.  But thanks to my pinterest addiction I actually have been able to find some helpful study tips.  And they don't just say get off pinterest ;) . I will probably use them for a long time.  I really need to figure out how to add categories to sort out my blog soon. Oh dear, way off topic.  Anywho, I went and bought school supplies this year. I honestly spent WAY too much! I don't even want to type it. Its terrible haha.  It was ridiculous.  Okay here it goes, over $50.  I know, I'm terrible.  Anyways, wish me luck to the beginning of my final year of high school!

I love my friends. I love how we can be crazy together. I love how we aren't afraid of laughing so hard it hurts. I'm glad we laugh till we cry, and do it often. I'm glad that we know what each other are thinking without words, and I love how we always know how to make each other smile.

Sundays, Sisters, and Surprises

Oh golly, I just love them. Today, I had the wonderful opportunity of not working on a Sabbath Sunday and going to church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  The sun seemed so wonderful, and everything more clear and beautiful.  Anna and I (my fantastic friend who was visiting from out of town) woke up and enjoyed our smoothies before getting ready for church.  Finally ready to go, we headed out and picked up Holly. Oh I completely forgot to mention I got my license and can drive now! But.. I still don't have a car, so my dad was driving us to church.  ANYWHO. The sisters both gave talks today and I just adore them both so much.  Sister Hayes, who for some reason, everyone keeps calling Sister Haynes, gave a beautifully uplifting talk about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Our Savior Jesus, who died for us out of pure love. There was so much faith and knowledge in everything she spoke and it just strengthened my testimony so much. So thank you to Sister Hayes <3 Sister Stockwell then got up and bore her testimony. It was simple, but her words were expressed with sincere, heartfelt faith and love.  I know that she knows that this church is true and Jesus died for us, because the honesty was piercing and beautiful.

President Thomas S Monson said:

"If any has stumbled in his journey, there is a way back. The process is called repentance. Our Savior died to provide you and me that blessed gift. Though the path is difficult, the promise is real: 'Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow' (Isaiah 1:18)."

I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, and everyone's savior. That he died for me, but he doesn't just want me, he wants all of us. His love is unconditional, and he is and always will be there for us.  I know he hears all my prayers and will never abandon me.  With God, my strength can not be measured, together he will help me to face and overcome all of my battles. I know the power of the atonement and I know that with it, we can return to our Father and family in heaven one day.

 Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin said:

"Why must we love the Lord? Because as we do so, we become refined, pure, and holy. When we love the Lord, the benefits of the Atonement can wash away our earthly stain. Though our sins be as scarlet, they can become white as snow (see Isaiah 1:18), and we can become new creatures, filled with new life, new thoughts, and a renewed desire to do good continually."

Oh Boy.
