Summer So good so far (from June)

Summer has come. I am loving it so much so far. I finally have time to make all of my delicious favorite breakfasts including my classic oatmeal with brown sugar and nectarine combo and peanut butter toast!

I finally stopped procrastinating and went and bought some scrubs to sew into bloomers for trek, and I ended up buying some new sunnies (aviators) a new hat ( :D ), a shirt, sweat pants, a shirt, a tank, a new infinity scarf, an ugly sweater with ducks all over it, and a nighty for trek too.  So, I went from spending 10$ on scrubs to an unfortunately large amount more than that. This is the unfortunate trend of all my shopping endeavors. I had a lot of fun with my good friend while we were at it though!

Piano playing like in March..

Hey so I found a video I made for my blog of me playing an arrangement of Go the distance from Hercules by Kyle Landry on the piano. So yeah I think it was from March...? But enjoy and ignore the wrong notes and mistakes! haha

Music speaks when words fail

I find that I have an awfully difficult time trying to express myself.
Trying to think about this new adventure in my life (university in two weeks) and everything that I'm leaving behind at the same time is foreign.  Although I have moved plenty of times, it seems weirder this time around.  Not only am I moving, but my family too, to a whole different place.
Those relationships and friendships I have strengthened and created with so many wonderful people might even evaporate into thin air when I leave. It breaks my heart. But at the same time I am so excited and anxious and nervous for my new and wonderful adventure just around the riverbend. I'm bursting with excitement, while crumbling with sorrow. I don't even talk about it. Goodbye is too hard. But then again  “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”~ Winnie the Pooh.

Some songs I think of about this time include:

"But I will see you again, I will see you again a long time from now"

"Telephone wires above are sizzling like a snare
Honey, I'm on fire, I feel it everywhere
Nothing scares me anymore
Kiss me hard before you go
Summertime sadness"

"I think I'll miss you forever
Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky"

"I don't ever wanna let you down
I don't ever wanna leave this town
'Cause after all
This city never sleeps at night"

I'm scared, that these people I cherish and adore, those are the ones that I want to see again, those treasured souls within this city that I've found, might be lost from my life.
I guess that's part of this whole moving thing.

P.S. I got a new computer for school and it's pretty sweet.

Proverbs 15:33

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

The Best Big Brother & Sister in Law

So today was CanadaDay, July the first! woot woot! In celebration, Sunshine and Jared and I pulled an all nighter last night and continued the festivities today too! I came home from work yesterday and eventually took a power nap from 10 until 11:30 pm about in preparation for the night ahead. It was so much fun. Dance Parties, Nerf Gun Wars, Movies, Painting, and Dissent Games throughout the night and ending with a snooze at 6 am until 11:30.  After I woke up, we ended up all making chocolate chip waffles with whipped cream, maple syrup, raspberries, and strawberries, eggs, turkey bacon, hashbrowns all for breakfast. It was so delicious and so much food.  The day continued to be filled with super fun-ness as my brother and I went longboarding and biking, and then Sunshine joined us for jumping in the lake and boating and partying with friends of ours for more Canada Day festivities.  My brother and sister in law are just so much fun, and are always trying to include me in their plans, they are so sweet, and SO much fun!

Anyways, here are some pictures of today! :)

Back of my math Textbook.

"Those who persevered through college were not always the most gifted.  They had grit, resilience."
"The engine for success...was performance-based character."
"The minority who persevered through college...were the ones who could accept a bad grade and resolve to do better, who sought extra help, who did the work to master boring but necessary steps along the road."

"The path to discovery is full of mistakes and false leads. You can't do things if you are afraid of mistakes."
